Bruno C. Duarte received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University Marc Bloch, Strasbourg, where he studied with Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe.
His main research interests lie in the Philosophy of German Idealism, 18th and 19th Century Poetics, History and Theory of Translation, Theory of Tragedy. In recent years he has written extensively on Friedrich Hölderlin and F.W.J. Schelling. A translation and commentary of Hölderlin’s Pindar Fragments has been published in early 2010. He is currently working on Friedrich Schlegel’s Writings on Critical Philosophy.
